Harry David Bond, 73, Remembered for Love and Dedication

Harry David Bond, aged 73 of Bourbonnais, passed away at Riverside Miller Healthcare in Kankakee on July 1, 2025. Born in Decatur, IL, on May 24, 1952, to Robert A. and Mary Lois Bond, he married Deborah Hendrickson on April 20, 1974. Together, they had two children, Annette (Michael) Hrach and Robert (Charity) Bond, along with five cherished grandchildren – Elise, David, Will, Alexis, and Jordan. Harry also had a sister, Mary (James) McCauley.

A graduate with a B.A. in Accounting from Millikin University and an MBA from the University of Illinois, Harry was a dedicated Chairman of Monical’s Pizza Corporation. He adored Christmas and O-Gauge model trains, while actively participating in various organizations such as Boy Scouts, hospitality groups, and volunteer programs. Harry's favorite pastime was taking walks with his grandchildren, recounting stories about their favorite stuffed animals – Tex Bear and Minkey the Monkey.

Harry was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather known for his love and dedication. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

A Celebration of Life for Harry David Bond will be held on August 9, 2025, at Grace Community United Methodist Church in Bourbonnais. Arrangements are being handled by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes in Bourbonnais.
