Mary Jane Turrell, 64, of Bourbonnais, Dies After Battle with Cancer

Bourbonnais - Mary Jane Turrell, affectionately known as Jane or Janie, passed away on August 29, 2025, at Riverside Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. She was 64 years old. Born on July 8, 1961, to Harold and Ione Cross, Jane was raised in a loving and faithful home, shaping her values of love, laughter, and devotion to those she held dear.

Survived by her husband Jan, sons Jason, Jacob, Michael, and Cody, daughters-in-law Meghan and Jamie, and her cherished grandchildren, Jane is also survived by her sister Kathy, brothers Lance and Larry, nephew Rob, and brother-in-law Jay. She was preceded in death by various family members, including her son Matthew.

Known for her resilience and problem-solving skills, Jane enjoyed family camping trips, walks, and listening to music. Described as beautiful with a radiant smile and a great sense of humor, Jane's family always came first. Cremation has taken place, and memorial visitation will be at Clancy Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service. Donations to the American Cancer Association in Jane's memory are appreciated.
