The Village of Bourbonnais is set to host its first Howl-O-ween Pet Parade & Photo Costume Contest on Saturday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place at The Grove, located at 700 Main St. NW.
Pet owners are invited to dress up their animals and join a parade around the Village Green Circle. The event is open to spectators who wish to watch the parade and enjoy the Halloween-themed activities.
In addition to the parade, a photo costume contest will be held online. Participants can submit photos of their pets in costume through the village’s website until Friday, October 17 at 4 p.m. Voting for the contest will take place on the Village of Bourbonnais Facebook page, where residents can support their favorite entries by “liking” or “loving” the photos until Friday, October 24 at 4 p.m. Winners will be announced at the end of the parade, and prizes will be awarded to top entries. Attendance at the parade is not required to win.
Mayor Jeff Keast commented, “Summer may be over, but there’s plenty of festive fun for fall at The Grove. That includes for our four-legged friends. Looking forward to seeing everyone for the first Howl-O-ween!”
Further details and contest rules are available on the village’s website and Facebook page.
