Kenneth R. Delabre, 61, Fondly Remembered for Love of Music and Writing

Kankakee, IL - Kenneth R. Delabre, 61, passed away on August 23, 2025, at Riverside Miller Healthcare in Kankakee, IL. Born on May 15, 1964, to Richard and Theresa Marlaire Delabre in Kankakee. Kenneth is survived by his sons, Ken Delabre II and Joel (Breanna) Delabre; his siblings, Kevin Delabre, Wayne (LeighAnn) Delabre, Carrie (Winston) Freund, and Marie (Dale Lorance) Delabre.

Kenneth was a Traffic Coordinator for a Trucking Firm and an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, IL, serving on the Knights of Columbus Council. He had a passion for music, playing guitar, singing, and writing. Kenneth authored the book, "My Walk on the Parkinson's Path."

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes in Bourbonnais. A memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley with Reverend Marcin Michalak officiating. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
