Ann Marie Atkinson, 78, of Bourbonnais, passed away on November 10, 2025. Born on November 27, 1946, in Lafayette, IN, Ann was the eldest of seven children to Theo and Helen Freeland. She married David Atkinson on June 29, 1968, in Ft. Wayne, IN, and together they shared 57 years of marriage.

Ann's career included teaching kindergarten and serving in various positions at Olivet Nazarene University from 1990-2012. A member of the Kankakee Valley Audubon Society, Ann cherished her love for traveling, having visited over 75 countries across all seven continents. She was a faithful member of the College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais, imparting her love for the Lord to her children throughout their upbringing.

Survived by her husband David, daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Rogganbuck, son Bradley "Brad" Atkinson, siblings, and grandchildren, Ann's memory will be cherished by those who knew her. Visitation will be held on November 13, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, with a funeral service the following day at the College Church of the Nazarene. Cremation rites will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Olivet Nazarene University Fund in honor of Ann Marie Atkinson's memory. Ann will be remembered for her dedication to education, adventurous spirit, and unwavering faith and love for her family.
