Dwight Eugene Rollinson, Veteran of United States Army, Remembered for Service and Love of Family

Dwight Eugene Rollinson, 74, of Bourbonnais, passed away on November 9, 2025. Born on October 1, 1951, Dwight was the son of Berthal and Nellie Rollinson. He married Gail Smith on May 27, 1972, in Centralia, IL. A veteran of the United States Army, he served in 1970-1971.

Dwight was a devoted member of the Countryside Community Church in Kankakee. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail Rollinson, son Edward Rollinson, daughter Kelli Carraher, two sisters, one brother, beloved grandson Trent Lambert, and niece Tamara Downey. Dwight is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.

Visitation and a funeral service in Dwight's honor will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will follow the service, with inurnment planned at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in memory of Dwight Eugene Rollinson. Dwight will be remembered for his military service, dedication to his church, and the love he had for his family.
