Ascension has announced that Sally Deitch, its Executive Vice President of Nursing and Operations Infrastructure, has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the Leading Women for 2025. This award acknowledges women executives in healthcare for their contributions to improving care delivery, health equity, policy, and gender equity in leadership.
Modern Healthcare's Leading Women awards program was previously known as the Women Leaders in Healthcare Awards. The profiles of this year's honorees are available in the March 10, 2025 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine and online.
Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare, commented on the significance of the award: “The roles held by the honorees on our 2025 list of Leading Women and Rising Stars vary greatly but they all have one thing in common -- a commitment to helping their organizations reach the clinical, operational and financial goals.” She emphasized that their leadership is advancing the industry by enhancing patient experiences and mentoring other women in healthcare.
Deitch joined Ascension in October 2021. She leads Nursing & Operations Infrastructure among other responsibilities within Ascension Technologies and related services. Her role focuses on creating a unified strategy across Ascension’s facilities to ensure consistent operations.
