Richard E. Stutz, 78, Remembered for Love of Family and Handyman Skills

Richard E. Stutz, aged 78, of Bourbonnais, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Born on April 4, 1946, to Clarence and Annette Stutz, he married Sherri Witte in 1969 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Richard served as a technician for Illinois Bell and AT&T, finding joy in fishing, lawn care, and his handyman prowess. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

A United States Navy veteran and parishioner of Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church, Bourbonnais, Richard is survived by wife Sherri, son Jeff Stutz, brothers Jerry and Ron Stutz, grandchildren Kaitlyn and Trevor Stutz. Preceded in death by his parents. Visitation on January 24, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes in Bourbonnais, followed by a service officiated by Deacon Patrick Skelly. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno.
