Bradley Public Library District announced a Zoom event titled "Chicago Pizza - Past, Present, and Future with Steve Dolinsky," featuring the James Beard Award-winning food reporter. The announcement was made on January 9 via their Facebook page.
The event is scheduled to take place on Zoom at 7 p.m., with registration required through the library's website, as per a January 6 announcement on the Bradley Public Library District's Facebook page.
According to the Bradley Public Library District's website, Steve Dolinsky is recognized as the "Famed Food Guy reporter at NBC 5 (Chicago)" and has won 13 James Beard Awards for his work in television, radio, and podcasts. His focus is largely on pizza, highlighted by his bi-weekly podcast "Pizza City" that he hosts and produces. He also initiated Pizza Fest two years ago in Chicago, which has expanded to four cities and features 40 of the region's top pizzerias baking live using electric and wood-fired ovens. Dolinsky has authored two books about pizza, including "The Ultimate Chicago Pizza Guide: A History of Squares & Slices in the Windy City," which he will discuss during Thursday's Zoom session.
Based in Chicago, Illinois, Dolinsky co-hosted "The Feed Podcast" with chef and restaurateur Rick Bayless. The podcast offered an in-depth exploration of food topics based on their expertise. Additionally, he served as a judge on the cooking competition TV series "Iron Chef America."
