The Village of Bourbonnais announced on Facebook that Sweet Street candy shop will be the Chocolate Tour title sponsor for the eighth consecutive year. The announcement was made on December 30.
According to the Village of Bourbonnais website, the Chocolate Tour 2025 is a not-for-profit event hosted by the Bourbonnais Township Park District and the Village of Bourbonnais in collaboration with Sweet Street. Residents are invited to visit Sweet Street at 592 William Latham Senior Drive to "satisfy your sweet tooth," as said in the post.
The Chocolate Tour 2025 is scheduled for February 1. In previous years, the tour has attracted up to 350 attendees. Participants will "embark upon a decadent journey" filled with chocolate treats and other surprises, and they will also learn about local vendors' goods and services.
This non-profit event benefits The Grove in the Village of Bourbonnais and provides funding for exhibit updates at the Bourbonnais Township Park District’s Exploration Station. Attendees have the opportunity to win a grand prize or a runner-up grand prize after completing passports with tour visits.
The Village of Bourbonnais expressed gratitude towards Sweet Street and all its sponsors, including Grand Prize sponsor Andaul Jewelers, Runner-Up Grand Prize and shirt sponsor Bourbonnais Friendship Festival, bag sponsor Dr. John Vallone, D.D.S., and passport sponsor Fannie May.
