The Village of Bourbonnais has announced the winners of its fifth annual "Very Merry Coloring Contest," an event sponsored by Ahhh…Massage and Aqua Illinois. The contest, open to residents of all ages, saw a record-breaking 169 entries submitted by the December 18 deadline. This marks a significant increase from the previous year's 83 entries.

Winners were selected across various categories. In the Ages 6 & Under category, Charlotte Ramirez took first place, followed by Molly Kerouac and Haddie Roop in second and third places respectively. The Ages 7-10 category was led by Khloe Kuttler in first place, with Emersyn Arlis and Evelyn Tousignant securing second and third places.

In the All Ages/Family category, The Ehrman Family claimed first place. They were followed by The Jones Family in second place and Dan & Val Guenette in third. Jori Wehrmann was recognized as the winner in the Special Needs category.

Mayor Paul Schore expressed gratitude for the community's participation: “Thank you to all 169 entries for participating in this festive and free family activity,” he said. “Congratulations to all! With so many talented artists in Bourbonnais, I’m very thankful for the judges who had a difficult time selecting winners.”

Judges for this year's contest included Rory Parilac and Becca Maree from the Bourbonnais Public Library District, along with Nikki Moore from Little Me Studio.

Prizes were awarded to top finishers in each category: $100 Visa gift cards for first-place winners, $50 Visa gift cards for second-place winners, and $25 Visa gift cards for those finishing third. These prizes were made possible through sponsorships.
