Village of Bourbonnais hosts winter event featuring Curly the Cone

Paul Schore Mayor | Village of Bourbonnais

The Village of Bourbonnais is concluding its holiday events for 2024 with a winter activity at The Grove at Goselin Park, located at 700 Main St. NW. On Thursday, December 26, the village invites residents to join Curly the Dairy Queen Cone for a free outdoor event at The Rink. From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., participants can enjoy synthetic ice skating and take photos with Curly, the mascot of Dairy Queen Bourbonnais.

“This is a fun and free event for the whole family,“ stated Bourbonnais Mayor Paul Schore. “We appreciate our business community’s involvement and enthusiasm for The Grove. Dairy Queen Bourbonnais had The Rink located near their store last year, and they were often outside passing out free ice cream coupons to the skaters.”

Throughout December, The Rink is open from Thursday to Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Residents and visitors are welcome to bring their own skates for open skate sessions. Skate rentals are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., costing $5 per hour on the synthetic ice.

Free events like Glide at The Grove are supported by sponsors including Belson Steel Center Scrap, Brandon Casey’s Comfort Crew, ComEd, and The Marla Good Team – Keller Williams Preferred Realty.
