The winners of Bourbonnais' Holly Jolly Holiday Lighting Contest were announced on the town's Facebook page, beginning on December 17 with the fourth and fifth place winners, and concluding with the announcement of the first-place winner on December 20.

In the Traditional category, the Richmond Family secured first place with entry #17 at 636 Cherokee Dr. The Ramirez Family won the People’s Choice award with entry #8 at 715 Tremont St., receiving 559 votes out of a total of 4,156 votes cast on Facebook.

According to contest results, second place in the Traditional category was awarded to Bryan and Lalah Lowry for entry #21 at 1200 Stratford Dr. West. In the People’s Choice category, the Bleyle Family earned second place with entry #25 at 1344 Mill Pond Rd., garnering 512 votes.

The Bleyle Family also took third place in the Traditional category with their entry #25. For the People’s Choice award, James and Lisa DeVelder received third place for entry #15 at 257 Harvard Ave., collecting a total of 475 votes.

Fourth Place and Merry Mention honors in the Traditional category went to both the Ramirez Family (entry #8) and James and Lisa DeVelder (entry #15). Fifth Place and Merry Mention were awarded to the McCoy Family (entry #11 at 695 School Dr.) and the Kretzer Family (entry #19 at 299 Belmont Ave.). In the People’s Choice category, fourth place went to the Bobers (entry #13 at 6121 Park View Dr.), while fifth place was given to the McCoy Family (entry #11).

"The Village thanks all 26 entrants and congratulates all the winners," said a representative from Bourbonnais. Residents are encouraged to visit these holiday homes through December 25.
