The Village of Bourbonnais is set to host the Holiday in the Grove event on Saturday, December 14, from 11:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
According to the organizers, the family-friendly event is presented by the Community Arts Council of Kankakee County and the Village of Bourbonnais. It will take place at the Grove, located at 700 Main Street NW.
Activities scheduled for the day include visits from Merry the reindeer between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., as well as Santa and his Elf from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Handmade gifts crafted by local artisans will be available for purchase from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food vendors will also be present during this time, offering a variety of seasonal food options such as hot chocolate and holiday treats.
From 1 to 4 p.m., attendees can visit the Letourneau Home/Museum and Log School House with guidance from the Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society. Photo opportunities are available with the Village of Bourbonnais' Christmas tree, a sleigh, and Santa. Additionally, an ice skating rink will be open for visitors.
