Nancy M. Hanes, 86, of Bourbonnais, Passes Away at Ascension Heritage Village

Nancy M. Hanes, 86, of Bourbonnais, died on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Ascension Heritage Village in Kankakee. Born on June 9, 1938, in Dwight, she was the wife of the late Alpheus "Al" Hanes. Nancy worked as a secretary for Bourbonnais School District 53 and Kankakee District III. She enjoyed reading, golfing, and spending time with loved ones. Nancy was affiliated with Trinity United Methodist Church in Kankakee. She is survived by her sister and brothers, along with nieces, nephews, and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters. Cremation rites have been performed, with a graveside service set for May 19, 2025, at Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
